New firmware for the Sony A7III resolves “blinking pixels” issue

If you recently picked up a brand new Sony A7III camera body, you may have come across what some users are calling “blinking pixels” on the camera. This phenomenon occurs while recording 4K video using the XAVC S format at 24fps (PAL 25fps) at the bottom edge of the image where the pixels can be seen blinking on and off.

Benefits and improvements
– Resolves a “blinking pixels” phenomenon at the bottom edge of the image during XAVC S 4K (PAL 25p) recording (depending on the combination of camera settings)
– Resolves an issue where the touch panel could occasionally become unresponsive
– Improves the overall stability of the camera
